Real Proof of Animal Communication: A Chicken Heist

Nine years ago, my dogs developed health issues. After spending thousands of dollars consulting with four different vets, I decided to take matters into my own hands. The result? I began cooking food for my dogs.
Cooking My Way to Healthier Dogs
I did my usual research and found some informative recipe books from holistic vets. Fast forward nine years, and I've been whipping up home-cooked meals for my furry crew ever since. They get a variety of gently cooked foods, and everything was going pretty well... until one day when the chicken thief struck!
The Great Chicken Caper
My male dog, Floyd, has a deep, borderline obsessive love for chicken thighs. He'll practically turn up his nose at anything else unless it’s paired with those tasty thighs. One day, after roasting a batch of his favorite, I left the chicken cooling on the stove and dashed off to visit my horse, Howie, at the barn.
Now, here's where things get interesting. I was happily grooming Howie, when suddenly, I got a LOUD, almost panicked telepathic message from Floyd. Mind you, this dog is usually pretty chill, so when he "yells" in my head, I know something’s up.
Floyd’s Chicken Emergency 🚨
"What’s wrong?!" I asked, assuming it was something major. Was the house on fire? Had someone gotten hurt?
Floyd’s response? "MY CHICKEN! THEY'RE STEALING MY CHICKEN!"
I was confused for a second. "What do you mean?"
He telepathically replied, "The cat stole my chicken!"
Cue me rolling my eyes at the barn. Of course. My Cats. 🙄
Cat Burglar on the Loose 😼
Being the responsible pet parent I am, I quickly contacted the feline crew in my mind. "Alright, cats, drop the chicken. No one’s allowed to eat it. Got it?"
Since the chicken had bones in it, I definitely didn’t want any of them getting into trouble. But there wasn’t much else I could do from the barn, so I decided to carry on with Howie and hope for the best.
Evidence of a Foiled Crime
About 30 minutes later, I got a text from my housemate. She had just gotten home from work and was wondering why there was a full, uneaten chicken thigh lying on the kitchen floor.
I explained the situation—Floyd, the cat, the attempted chicken theft—and then I turned back to Floyd. "Why didn’t you eat it? It’s your favorite!" I asked.
His answer? "I saved it as evidence."
Of course. My ever-dramatic Floyd had saved the chicken as proof of the crime. He didn’t like the cats messing with his food, and in his own way, he was making sure I knew what had happened.
A Lesson in Telepathic Trust
Funny how sometimes we don’t believe things until we see them, right? That’s why I always tell my animal communication students to ask their pets for physical signs when they’re sending telepathic messages.
Want to try it yourself? Simply ask your pet a question in your head, and see if they respond. Whether it’s a wag of the tail, a little head tilt, or them suddenly getting up, it's incredible to see the connection in action.
